Nature opens its archives
![]()
Now that is one big good news. From now on everybody can browse all Nature volumes back to 1869. Pretty cool, hm? Browse it here. Now… how to read that thing? I hate reading books on my computer.
I wish I had an ebook reader… :(
Some of my favorite photos from Flickr – Part 1
Snatch’d
I saw “Snatch’d” (“Przekręt”) yesterday. Hilarious one! =D
If you haven’t seen it yet – note it down and rent it ASAP as it is one of a kind movie. Let me know your impressions after you watch it :].
Insightful music from Mali
Some of you probably know this song, but for those who don’t – here it is. It’s… It’s really good.
The song’s name is “La Fête au Village” and it is a part of album (produced by Manu Chao) – “Dimanche A Bamako” (2005).
Authors are very interesting ones. Amadou and Mariam are a musical duo from Mali. They are both blind and they are married.
The duo produces music that mixes traditional Mali sound with rock guitars, Syrian violins, Cuban trumpets, Egyptian ney, Colombian trombones, Indian tablas and Dogon percussion. All these elements put together have been referred to as “Afro-blues” (copied from Wikipedia).
Let me know what you think about it.
Alementarz
Wczoraj odwiedziłem wreszcie Bunkier Sztuki w Krakowie. Na parterze nie jest szczególnie ciekawie, ale można pooglądać dwa równoległe światy – afrykański i europejski.
Natomiast na piętrze jest przezabawna wystawa “Alementarz”. Warto pójść i obejrzeć. Pomysł na czasie, naprawdę polecam. Można oglądać chyba do 27 stycznia 2008.
