As many times before, me, my wife and our son went to St. Petersburg to see my mother-in-law and have two weeks of holiday. These days St. Petersburg is more expensive than London (Cider for 5 pounds, small beer for 2.5 pounds) so we mostly stayed at home (which is about half an hour by train from the center). From our previous trips I knew that I will get bored fast so I took my old Minolta 7i with some macro rings and tried to make some macro photos – with poor result. Macro rings suck – aberration is so big that only small center of the photo can be framed. Have a look:
That is the best one I could make. I caught her and put in a jar for the session.
This is ‘Mucha’, an old bitch, who agreed to take few photos of her in macro. Her hair look like hedgehog’s spikes.
This poor thing was told to have “parasitoid mites on the bumblebee”.
