I need to write a little post about my evening gowns website as it definitely needs “a little help from friends”. As you probably know I run a website called evening-dresses.eu where I try my best to promote my family business – DAGNEZ dressmakers. It has been more or less successful throughout last three years, depending on what changes I have made on the website, but sometimes I feel they all have been shooting in the dark. Guys and especially ladies - I need your help now. I have been working with this evening dresses website for so much time now that I am totally blind as for what is good or bad there. I am serious. Give me some hard critics – I need it.

What is right and what is totally wrong? What is missing? How can I make it better place for visitors?

Do you like the dresses? Aren’t there too many categories? Isn’t there too much information? Is the information easy too find? Is the navigation OK? What else shall appear there?

Szkieletor

Urodziłem się w Krakowie, niezliczoną ilość razy przejeżdżałem przez rondo Mogilskie i zawsze zastanawiałem się, jaka jest historia tego wielkiego, opuszczonego budynku górującego nad okolicą. Minęły lata, ale ciekawość nigdy nie popchnęła mnie do tego, żeby rzeczywiście poszukać informacji na ten temat. W końcu dzisiaj się przemogłem i właśnie zgłębiam temat… Jak wielkim ignorantem może być człowiek, eh? Do dzisiaj nawet nie wiedziałem, że budynek jest szeroko znany pod nazwą ‘Szkieletor’.

Co jeszcze? No tak.. jest starszy ode mnie o 6 lat (budynek zaczęli budować w 1975), więc nic dziwnego, że się nim jakoś szczególnie nie interesowałem – dla mnie był tam od zawsze – nieodłączna część krajobrazu.

Oryginalny plan był bardzo ambitny. Ówczesny inwestor, Mostostal, chciał w budynku zmieścić biura, kawiarnie, centrum konferencyjne, hotel, centrum szkoleniowe i inne cuda-nie-widy. Dosłownie nie-widy, bo po 4 latach skończyły się fundusze. Przez lata wielu inwestorów miało różne plany, od modernizacji, adaptacji aż po całkowite wyburzenie, ale… z różnym powodów nic z tego nie wyszło. Szkieletor jak stał tak stoi.

Rok temu (w 2007) budynek podobno został ponownie przejęty przez następnego inwestora i wyobraźcie sobie, chce go zmodernizować. Co ciekawsze, plan jest taki, żeby budynek był gotowy na Euro 2012. No, no… zobaczymy.

Póki co żartuje się, że inwestorzy za bardzo się spieszą, bo jeszcze kilka lat, a obiekt zostanie wpisany na listę zabytków, a już teraz jest atrakcją japońskich wycieczek ;]

My dream – to spend half of my life travelling.

My dream is to travel the world, see all the big and little, hidden places. Spend days or months in places I get to like really much. How to do it? Fortune wouldn’t be enough.. Winning on a lottery probably wouldn’t be enough. And then, even having those money, how to travel in comfort without worrying about details at each new place? Traveling the world was my dream for many, many years and I have found a pretty cool idea to do that now. Sure, I still would need like, LOTS of money, but this time it is little closer to make it real.

Aaah… Lovely isn’t it? Even it was formerly a garbage truck, heh, heh. You can buy this one for me for my birthday, hm? ;]
Buy me a pimped garbage truck here :)
And maybe a tank of gas for it as well… :-/

OK, was the above one cool? Now I need to win lottery *just* couple of times to get this one :D
